This is your birth, your body, your baby...

May you feel powerful, nurtured and safe.

"Working with Jillian was the difference between having the birth experience the hospital gives everyone and having an experience that was uniquely ours...
Jillian is a wonderful cheerleader and advocate to have with you during birth and I could not recommend her enough! She was integral to my birthing experience and I am so grateful I was able to work with her."

"Of all the ways birth outcomes could be improved, continuous labor support seems like one of the most important and basic needs for birthing people. Research has shown that labor support from doulas is both risk-free and highly effective."

Birth Support

It is my intention for you to feel supported, safe, knowledgeable and confident during your pregnancy, throughout your birth, and beyond. I believe that your wishes and desires for your birth are important. Your birth experience matters! Birthing people can cope with labor in many ways and my desire is to support you in finding what works for you in each moment. My hope is that you feel truly nurtured and informed every step of the way.

I love working with ALL families: VBAC, HBAC; first-timers or experienced; expecting multiples or singletons; and including single parents, adoptive parents, LBGTQIA+ parents, and military families.

Birth support begins prenatally so that we can develop a relationship that will serve you best during your labor. Once the contract is signed, I'm available for your updates, questions and concerns. I love all things birth related and have an abundance of recommendations and resources to support you during pregnancy, birth and beyond.

During pregnancy, I provide individualized information and support for your whole pregnant self; body, mind and spirit. We will have 3-4 prenatal meetings to discuss things like:

Options and preferences for labor, birth and immediate postpartum
  • Movement and comfort measures
  • Postpartum recovery, feeding baby, and the early days with a newborn
  • Your experiences, beliefs, and desires for this pregnancy, birth and postpartum

During your labor, I will be with you, supporting you and your partner through it all. During early labor, we are often communicating by phone. I typically join as early labor transitions to active labor and remain with you throughout your labor. After you welcome your baby and are settled in (and fed!) after the first feeding, I will tuck you in for some special family time. We will see each other again for a postpartum check-in and a postpartum visit.

Investment $1350

A one-time travel fee of $100 will be applied for clients that live and/or birth outside of a 45 minute travel distance.

"Hire Jillian.

She’s truly amazing at what she does has devoted so much time and effort to educating herself so that she can be the best at a job she truly loves.

She was so encouraging and empowering in our prenatal meetings that I decided to try for an unmedicated birth. This was my third delivery. It was absolutely the best decision for myself and I’m so grateful for her knowledge and encouragement.

When I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, she immediately recommended podcasts and reading material on the subject.

My labor was fast and intense and she was the calm in the storm. She used many strategies to keep me grounded during the most intense experience of my life. Hip squeezes through early labor, peppermint oil to keep me from getting sick, she even brought a portable fan because in our prenatal meetings I had said I get really hot when in labor. Between contractions she used other comfort measures to bring me back to baseline so I could gather myself before the next contraction. She kept myself and my husband from panicking when things really picked up and we needed assertive but calm support in the chaos that was arriving at the hospital almost fully dilated.

When I was pushing my baby out, I don’t remember a whole lot about what was happening around me, but I do remember how Jillian would put her cheek against mine and gently talk me through each contraction. In those moments the rest of the world faded away and it was just me and my people (Jillian and my husband) having a baby. It was like having a big sister in the room with me.

I would absolutely hire Jillian 10 more times."
